March 30, 1994, one day after
Johnson resigned, Barry Switzer
arrived in Dallas as the new head
coach for the Dallas Cowboys. He
began his career with no pro
coaching experience, although he was
one of college football's most
successful coaches during his tenure
at the University of Oklahoma.
Coach Barry Switzer compiled a
40-24 record in four seasons with
the Cowboys. Switzer guided the
Cowboys to NFC East titles in each
of his first three seasons and won
Super Bowl XXX following the 1995
campaign.
