Brett Hull was born
on August 9, 1964 in Belleville,
Ontario, Canada. He played his
collegiate hockey with University of
Minnesota-Duluth of the WCHA and was
drafted by the Calgary Flames in the
sixth round, 117th overall in 1984.
Following in his great father, Bobby
Hull's footsteps, he got his first
taste of NHL action in the 1987
playoffs with the Flames. The
following season saw Hull play a
handfull of games with the big club
as he tore up the American Hockey
League with the Moncton Golden
Flames. With Calgary on the cusp of
taking that next step, Brett Hull
and Steve Buzek were traded to the
St. Louis Blues for Rob Ramage and
Rick Wamsley in the spring of 1988.
His first full season with the Blues
was a mere glimpse of what was in
store as Hull scored 41 goals and
added 43 assits for 84 points...Book

The following season
he was teamed up with Adam Oates as
his center and Brett Hull was the
top goal scorer in the NHL with 72
goals and was named a first team
All-Star. He would go on to score 86
goals in 1990-91 winning the Hart
Trophy and followed that up with his
third straight 70+ goal season. Even
as his goal production began to
drop, Hull would add two more 50
goal seasons and two 40+ goal
seasons in St. Louis before signing
with the Dallas Stars as an
unrestricted free agent in 1998.
Hull would finally reach his goal of
winning a Stanley Cup as he scored
the championship winning goal in
1999. He signed with the Detroit Red
Wings in 2001 and once again was
part of the 2002 Stanley Cup champs
in Detroit. Brett Hull has been one
of the most prolific scorers in NHL
history. His "one timer" is still
feared by goalies around the league
and he would be a shoe-in for the
Hall of Fame when he retires.
