As
one of the best wide receivers in

that Cris Collinsworth caught on so
fast to football commentating. He
led one of the most memorable
receiving careers during his eight
years with the Cincinnati Bengals
and played in two Super Bowls.

Upon
his retirement in 1988, he jumped
right into broadcasting as a
reporter for HBO's Inside the NFL. A
year later, his outspoken, honest
analysis landed him a position as
one of the show's studio cast. A
three-time Pro Bowl selection,
Collinsworth became a game analyst
for NBC Sports' NFL coverage in
1990. He then took a year off to
complete his law degree at the
University of Cincinnati Law School
and returned to NBC in 1992. By
1997, Cris Collinsworth was at the
top of his new game - winning an
Emmy Award for his work on NBC and
HBO.
In
January 1998, Collinsworth joined
the cast of America's most-watched
NFL pre-game show, when he became a
part of the FOX NFL Sunday team as
an analyst. In addition, he serves
as an NFL studio analyst on FOX
Sports News. In April 1999, Cris
Collinsworth was the recipient of a
Sports Emmy for Outstanding Sports
Personality/Studio Analyst.
