 Dan
Hampton, a force on one of the most
fearsome defenses in NFL history,
was elected to the Pro Football Hall
of Fame on February 2, 2002. He will
be inducted on August 3 during
ceremonies in Canton, Ohio. Dan is
an engaging sports personality who
is well known for his anecdotal and
motivational speaking style. This,

Hampton was named to the NFL "Team
of the 80's" by the Pro Football
Hall of Fame Board of Selectors, as
well as earning four trips to the
Pro Bowl during his career. He was a
standout for the unforgettable 1986
Superbowl Champion Chicago Bears
team, and is only the second player
to play for the Bears in three
consecutive decades.
Nicknamed "Danimal" for his intense
playing style, this versatile
gentleman also plays six different
musical instruments. Although Dan
has retired from the gridiron, he
keeps busy as a spokesperson for
companies such as Chevrolet and
Firestone as well as hosting pre-
and post-game shows for the Bears on
