Hank Aaron - It is virtually
impossible to describe Hank Aaron
without using the words "all-time
home run king". Such is the
magnitude of Aaron's place in
history. Is there a more royal way
for a ballplayer to be remembered?
On the surface, probably not. Yet
Hank Aaron demands so much more. As
breathtaking as 755 home runs is,
there is so much more for which he
must be remembered. He won three
Gold Glove Awards, played in 14
World Series, set records for career
RBI’s and total bases, won two
batting titles and four RBI Crowns.
He is currently a senior vice
president with the Braves. With
grace and charm, Hank Aaron shares
his memories of his unmatched
career, earning the admiration and
respect of his audiences as only a
true American legend can.
"Hammerin' Hank" Aaron earned his
nickname by clubbing 755 round
trippers over his 23-year career.
Not only did he raise the bar for
home runs, but he also established
12 other major league career
records, including most games,
at-bats, total bases and RBI. Aaron
played the infield but gained
recognition as an excellent
outfielder, winning three Gold Glove
awards. Hank Aaron earned National
League Most Valuable Player honors
in 1957, and appeared in a record 24
All-Star Games. A quiet and
effective leader, Aaron is now an
executive with the Braves.
