Jerry
Rice #80, 6-2, 200 from Mississippi
Valley State is considered the
game's greatest receiver. We was
named the 1985 NFC Offensive Rookie
of the Year and Player of the Year
in 1990. Jerry has earned a Pro Bowl
appearance for almost every season
played in the NFL. He was never the
fastest receiver in the game, but
had a knack of getting open and
having the most rigorous off season
training program.
In 1995 he had career-high 122
receptions for 1,848 yards and 17
TD's. Also rushed for two scores,
recovered a fumble for a score and
passed for a score as well. He is
the career touchdown leader with
180, career receiving yards leader
with 18255, and the career reception
leader with 1195. He made Pro Bowl
for ten straight years and holds the
NFL mark with 11 successive
1,000-yard seasons.
Jerry
holds NFL records for career
touchdowns, receptions, receiving
touchdowns, receiving yards gained,
and most career TD connections from
Steve Young with 82. He also hold
countless Super Bowl records
including the most point in a game
with 18, TD's in a game with 3,
receptions in a game with 11,
receiving yards in a game with 215
and Super Bowl Career TD's with 7.
Jerry is currently playing for the
Oakland Raiders after spending most
of his career with the 49'ers. He is
a lock for Canton. We just don't
know when he retire.
