Beginning this
season, Mike added the role of
Studio Host for ABC's NBA telecasts,
which include the NBA Finals. He
also serves as a play-by-play voice
for ESPN's NBA coverage. In addition
to his golf and NBA duties, Tirico
is a play-by-play announcer for
college football on ABC and ESPN.
Tirico is also a
contributor to ESPN SportsCenter,
radio, magazine and internet
ventures.
Since joining ESPN in
1991, after four years at WTVH_TV in
Syracuse, Tirico has covered many
major sporting events, including the
Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, College
Football National Championship
games, NBA Finals, NFL Draft and
Daytona 500.
Tirico received his
bachelor-of-arts degree in political
science and broadcast journalism
from Syracuse University in 1988.He
is married and lives in Ann Arbor,
Michigan with his wife and two
children.
