In
the mid-1980s, Pressley made a few
starts in the NASCAR Busch Series.
But in 1989, his rookie year, he
made the splash that would propel
his career into overdrive: He went
to Victory Lane at Orange County
Speedway in only his 12th start.
From that point on, Pressley moved
through the Busch Series ranks,
winning six poles, 10 races, and
recording a third-place finish in
the 1993 series points standings.
He
then moved on into the Cup series in
1995, where he competed full time
until December 2001, when received a
call from Bobby Hamilton to race in
the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
and also in a limited number of Cup
series events for Bobby Hamilton
Racing.
